Not able to take your practice to the next level? Finding you don’t have the strength necessary for more difficult poses? Develop upper body and core strength while increasing your endurance and take your practice to a higher level.
Bootcamp for Yogis (and non Yogis) is a rigorous workout for people who want to build core and upper body strength, increase endurance and stamina, and get a good cardiovascular workout in a lovely beach setting.
This beach bootcamp is a 60 minute workout incorporating simple strength building exercises, calisthenics, paired exercises and simple repetitive movements to get students sweating and challenging themselves beyond their yoga practice on the mat.
Yoga bootcamp is designed to further develop and tone the body. Upper body and core muscle groups will be focused on. The exercises will also help students increase their endurance while pushing their cardiovascular system.
Typical exercises will include:
- warm up sequence
- Cart wheels
- wheel barrow walk (pairs)
- Jumping Jacks
- Crab walk
- push ups
- standing jump ups
- shadow boxing
- shoulder raises
- some repetitive yoga poses
- running in place
