Come with us as we go back, wandering further and further away in time.
Back to a time of Emperors and Gladiators, Seafarers and Farmers. Back to a simpler time when the sun kissed the sand and the ocean captured the hearts of young men looking for adventure.
Back to a time when people created art with their hands and cooked their own pizza over hot wood coals.
Back to a time where mud from a volcano rather then pills cured folks of their ailments.
Have we built a time machine, you ask?
No, there is an island off the Italian Coast where time stands still, and all the charms of yesteryear remain untouched by the ages. An island where people still embrace the simple way of living that made their ancestors the envy of all Italia, yet also know how to accommodate their guests in the lap of luxury.
Where is this magical place? Sicily, an island where time stops and dreams come true. Come along with us on our colorful adventure and experience our “Timeless Wandering.”

Over the years several of our travelers have expressed a desire for more free time on our tours, and for this reason we have not included this activity in the itinerary. It is a full 12 hour day with a bus ride that is almost 3 hours in each direction. For those of you who select this experience, it is certain to be memorable. The archaeological area of Agrigento, the Valley of the Temples, is on the southern coast of Sicily. Founded as a Greek colony in the 6th century BC, Agrigento became one of the leading cities in the Mediterranean region. Its supremacy and pride are demonstrated by the remains of the magnificent Doric temples that dominate the ancient town, much of which still lies intact under today’s fields and orchards. Selected excavated areas reveal the late Hellenistic and Roman town and the burial practices of its early Christian inhabitants. All those who have marveled at this ancient city come away moved and inspired!
For those of you who want to start out in Rome before meeting up in Sicily with the rest of the group, we have put this sidebar trip together for you. Check it out and let us know if you’d like to add it to your trip.
