PRATIBHA
I sat for a while pondering what we can focus on this new month and year. Then it became clear, let's focus on that flash of light moment, when a revelation or wisdom shows itself through supersenscious feelings. Pratibha (pra - tee-Bha) in Sanskrit refers to that knowing that is innate, tacit or wisdom that comes with immediacy or freshness.
Our minds have such amazing potential to work in a variety of ways, from rational, intellectual, heart connected, and intuitive knowing to name a few. We are gifted with certain pathways and train others based on nature (genetics) and nurture. We mimic those around us through family, friends, and culture, at the same time we are driven innately by a deep sense of knowing. We are taught to trust or doubt, have faith in our feelings and/or in other’s experiences or intellect. Culturally or religiously faith is placed deeply on the physical realm (what can be seen, tested or proven) or on an authoritative teaching by those in power. The mythical, mystical or magical (that which is felt, experienced but can not be authenticated (yet)) has been dismissed, negated and even villainized. Unfortunately intuition has landed in that realm.
You’ve all probably had flashes of intuitive awareness. That moment when the phone rings just as you were thinking of someone and they are now calling you. You look softly down at a menu and your eyes settle on one item, and you then read the menu and realize the first item is what you want. You sense something, doubt it and then it materializes in your life. These are all examples of intuition, Pratibha
This month we will be taking time to be aware of those revelations, flashes of knowing. Here are 7 ways to help develop intuition (noted in bold.)
♥️ Take time to open your heart, ask it to align with your mind and guide you.
? Become discerning, by paying attention to the wisdom you have and ask your inner guidance what feels just “right”.
😏 Build trust in yourself by practicing with a playful nature that cultivates your intuition. Just like when you first learned to ride a bike you may fall, wobble or get it immediately.
🧘🏼Spend time in nature to calm your energy and meditate to quiet the ever-present chatter of the mind.
Finally be attentive to all of your senses and how they feel aligned or out of sorts. Equally as important as the 5 senses are, come to know that 6th sense by honoring your heart and gut feelings.
